Art-O-Rama 2019
"One and the other", Rada Boukova Solo Show
For Art-O-Rama 2019, Rada Boukova (Sofia, 1973) will pursue a long-standing reflection she has developed with Lazar Lyutakov as part of their joint project "How We Live" for the Bulgarian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale this year.
Noting the underestimated importance and constantly threatened by the indifference of the Decorative Arts in our daily lives, the French-Bulgarian artist wishes, with the unprecedented installation "One and the other", to reaffirm her favorite precepts: every object at home must be beautiful, useful, present because all work must be accomplished with joy since there is nothing more important for one's existence than to follow the path of beauty, friendship and solidarity.
Following this line of thinking, Rada Boukova will propose for Sariev Contemporary's booth an "ideal interior design" composed of six artistic artifacts to which are intimately attached the memories of the cities that have transformed her life, namely : Paris, Venice, Sofia, Istanbul, Vienne and now Marseille.
