Luchezar Boyadjiev at the Taichung Art Museum

Luchezar Boyadjiev participates in Horizon Ablaze, an international group exhibition opening on 15 May 2026 at the Taichung Art Museum.

For the exhibition, Boyadjiev presents a selection of works from his long-term series “On vacation…” (2004 – present), a body of work developed over more than two decades through photography, travel, observation, and personal reflection.

Co-curated by Takamori Nobuo, Tessa Maria Guazon, Juan Canela, and Jennifer Choy, Horizon Ablaze brings together artists from five continents to explore the many dimensions of “heat” — environmental, political, emotional, and sensory.

Inspired by the lived realities of Taiwan’s tropical and subtropical climate, the exhibition examines heat not as an abstract condition, but as a shared bodily and cultural experience capable of connecting memories and perspectives across geographies.

The exhibition runs from 15 May until 30 August 2026 and marks the inaugural summer season of the Taichung Art Museum.
