Nedko Solakov and Sarieva/Gallery Support UNICEF Bulgaria Charity Auction

Nedko Solakov and Sarieva/Gallery participated in the third edition of the charity gala organised by Bulgaria Sotheby’s International Realty in support of UNICEF Bulgaria, held on 2 November 2026 at the Sts. Cyril and Methodius National Library in Sofia.

The artwork from the Series “Stories in Colour” No. 363 (2018), featuring the handwritten text “A nice composition of colors, with a kicked-out story”, was executed in watercolour and black and white ink on paper. Jointly provided by the artist and Sarieva/Gallery for the charity auction, the work was also the subject of a live intervention by Solakov during the event.

Bidding for the artwork started at €5,500 and reached €10,000. The gala raised nearly €130,000 in total to support the expansion of UNICEF Bulgaria’s “Zona ZaKrila” (Protection Zone) model, which provides psychological, social and legal support to children who have experienced or witnessed violence, and their families.
