Portfolio Day 2018 - Young authors meet art experts
Portfolio Day is an initiative by SARIEV Contemporary for supporting young artists which started in 2016 in the framework of the project Background: Young Artists.
Visual and performance artists can participate in an open call and submit a portfolio. A professional jury selects artists to participate in the Portfolio Day. The participants have individual consultations with the jury members - established artists, curators and gallerists who give them feedback to their portfolio and advises how to develop their career and artistic practice. The goal is to help young artists to learn how to present themselves and their work, how to communicate with curators and gallerists and to introduce them to art professionals.
Portfolio Day 2018 will happen at SARIEV Studio, Sofia on 1 July 2018. Selected participating young artists after selection are: Marchela Apostolova, Stoyan Ilev, Yavor Kostadinov, Radoslav Ninov, Martin Penev, Ivana Petrova, Anton Tsanev. The will be consilted by the invited from thr site of Sariev galelry experts: Luchezar Boyadjiev (artist), Vera Mlechevska (curator and art critic), Vessela Nozharova (curator), Svetoslav Todorov (journalist) Vesselina and Katrin Sariev (gallerists)
