Dear friends,
We are excited to kick off the new art season at Sarieva/Gallery with some thrilling updates! This fall, we will host two exhibitions in Plovdiv and Sofia, and participate in the international art fair viennacontemporary 2024!
We begin on 6th September with Town of Shadows, a new exhibition in Plovdiv by Bulgarian-Austrian artist Kamen Stoyanov. This show marks the 20th anniversary of the opening of Katrin and Vesselina Sarieva’s first gallery on Otets Paisiy Street in Plovdiv in 2004 and is part of the parallel program for the 30th Week of Contemporary Art in Plovdiv.
On 11th October, we will unveil Random Jumble, a solo exhibition by the renowned Bulgarian artist Nedko Solakov at Sarieva/Gallery @ DOT Sofia. The exhibition will run until 24th November.
Between these two events, you'll find us from 12th to 15th September 2024 in Vienna, showcasing works by Denitsa Todorova, Dimitar Genchev and Maria Nalbantova at viennacontemporary 2024 art fair.
Additionally, works by Valio Tchenkov, Stefan Nikolaev and Nedko Solakov will be featured in galleries across Munich, Paris and Berlin.
We also recommend visiting DOT Sofia from 3 September to see Panayot Barnev's archival photographs of 1970s Sofia co-curated by Vesselina Sarieva with Bulgarian Visual Archive.
Although the summer was quieter in terms of media coverage, our newsletter includes some interesting publications and interviews that you wouldn't want to miss.
For more details and updates, including recent press coverage, please visit our website. Feel free to reach out with any questions or requests regarding our artists or their works.
Warmest regards,
Sarieva/Gallery team
