The Guardian mentions Plovdiv and Sarieva / Gallery as one of the best places for art and culture in Europe
In a recent article published by The Guardian, where Plovdiv was mentioned as one of the 10 best European city breaks for arts and culture, Sarieva / Gallery was mentioned as one of the best places for art in the city.
The British news and media website places Plovdiv on its list of best European city breaks. Among other specific historical landmarks – like Bishop’s Basilica of Philippopolis, Sarieva is mentioned as “the most influential contemporary gallery”. The Guardian also mentions Sarieva’s proprietor, Katrin Sarieva and the Alternative Map of Plovdiv – a tourist guide of the uncharted and unfamiliar Plovdiv.
Hadji Hassan Mahala neighbourhood, the city’s six hills, different coffee houses, bars and restaurants are also mentioned in the article among the diverse opportunities that Plovdiv can offer to its tourists and visitors.
Other two European destinations mentioned by the Guardian as the best cultural spots are Kaunas in Lithuania and La Coruña in Spain.
