Dear Friends,

Autumn is here — and with it comes plenty to look forward to, as you’ll discover in the pages of our newsletter.

The art season has officially begun for us in our Plovdiv gallery, where we are restarting our important and long-standing project Background: Young Artists 2025, launched in 2010. This time we present debut of self-taught artist Radoslav Angelov.

Next month, we’ll be in Sofia for the opening of Marta Djourina’s solo show at Sarieva/Gallery @ DOT Sofia — another exciting highlight of our autumn program.

We are thrilled to contribute to the opening of AYA Estate Vineyards in September 2025, a new cultural destination in Bulgaria where our artists’ works and site-specific commissions will be part of an extraordinary fusion of contemporary art, winemaking, and architecture.

Over the coming months, enjoy solo and group exhibitions and a film screening featuring Sarieva/Gallery artists across Bulgaria, Belgium, North Macedonia, Winterthur, Germany, and Thailand.

Don’t miss our insightful interviews and recent media coverage that showcase the gallery and our artists.

Thank you for your continued support and interest in our artists’ work.

Wishing you an autumn full of success, fresh discoveries, and inspiration.

Warm regards,
Vesselina Sarieva

RECOMMENDED

At the end of September 2025, AYA Estate Vineyards will open its doors as a new cultural destination in Bulgaria, where winemaking, contemporary art, nature, and architecture come together in a unified experience. The opening will be marked by large-scale art installations created specifically for AYA, alongside selected works from the estate’s collection.

The art program at AYA Estate Vineyards is realized in collaboration with the established curators and art consultants Vessela Nozharova and Vesselina Sarieva. Since 2019, Vesselina Sarieva has been part of the curatorial team, contributing her expertise in spatial analysis, curatorial selection and internal competitions, positioning of artworks, creation of site-specific pieces, as well as organizing temporary exhibitions, cultural programs, and communications tailored to the spirit of the place.

Specially commissioned works for AYA include pieces by Stoyan Dechev, Marta Djurina, Marianne Lang, Ivo Toshain, and Eli Joteva, as well as artists represented by Sarieva Gallery – Nedko Solakov, Stefan Nikolaev, and Rudi Ninov. The collection also features works by Dimitar Genchev, Sasho Stoitzov, Kalin Serapionov, Stella Vassileva, Miryana Todorova, and numerous other Bulgarian and international artists.

Following the invitation-only opening, the program will include public wine tours, curated tours, annual exhibitions, and artist encounters, establishing AYA Estate Vineyards as a dynamic cultural venue of international significance.
