We’re back with November & December art highlights at Sarieva/Gallery!
This November, don’t miss your last chance to visit Random Jumble by Nedko Solakov at our gallery in Sofia and Town of Shadows by Kamen Stoyanov in Plovdiv. Join us on November 9 in Sofia for an exclusive event where Nedko Solakov will share stories behind his works in the show.
Over the next two months, explore works by Pravdoliub Ivanov, Nedko Solakov, Luchezar Boyadjiev, and Valio Tchenkov in Budapest, Munich, Ravensburg, Kazanlak, Sofia, and Plovdiv.
In case you missed it, two iconic pieces by Pravdoliub Ivanov joined the DOT Sofia Art Collection in September!

Iconic Monumental Works by Pravdoliub Ivanov Now Part of DOT Sofia Art Collection
Pravdoliub Ivanov's unique and thought-provoking works, FORM-FROM-FORM (2011-2012) and Monument to the Unknown Washerwoman (2005) have found a new home in the art collection at DOT Sofia, situated at the Women's Market in the heart of Sofia's historic center. The works can be seen by the visitor and passers-by.
Ivanov's talent for engaging with public spaces is evident in both installations, fostering an open dialogue with the public at the Women's Market, where DOT Sofia's location is.The DOT Sofia Art Collection, curated by Vesselina Sarieva, is a testament to the vibrancy of contemporary Bulgarian art.
The collection, formally established in 2019, has since grown to include over 200 works by prominent and emerging Bulgarian artists, representing key movements from the late 1980s to the present. As of September 2023, the collection features works by artists such as Nedko Solakov, Stefan Nikolaev, Kamen Stoyanov, Zara Alexandrova, Pravdoliub Ivanov, Luchezar Boyadjiev, Maria Nalbantova, Rudi Ninov, Svetlana Mircheva, Dessilava Terzieva and many others.

On November 9, as part of his solo exhibition Random Jumble at Sarieva/Gallery in Sofia, artist Nedko Solakov will share the stories behind the thirteen works on display — and he certainly won’t stop there!
The pieces in the exhibition form an exceptionally diverse selection of Solakov’s creations, spanning from his earliest work in 1981 to his latest in 2024. Each piece serves as a unique gateway into the artist’s rich body of work.
Additionally, Solakov will discuss his works in the collection of DOT Sofia, including his latest piece for the collection: The Dreams of Tomorrow, 2024—a series of 11 drawings, specially created for the eleven rooms of DOT Sofia.
